Remember that famous quote saying “Love your parents. We are so busy growing up, we often forget they are also growing old.” Would you still love your parents when they grow very old, even if it may cause you much patience? A mother and father seek into the future and hope their child will have patience for them like they have for the child in the past. They write a letter to their future child about growing old and expectations. It’s love among relations.
Remember to take the time to love your parents, making an effort to go and see them frequently when you can. We are usually so busy growing up that we often forget that they are also growing old. One day you will look back at the present with regrets, wishing that you had realized that the time you have with your parents was limited.
Before you know it the parents who nurtured and cared for you will be elderly and the time that you spend with them may not have the same quality. Do not wait until this happens because you will end up with sadness and regret over the missed opportunities that you did not take advantage of.
Every one of you reading this blog have parents that are aging if you are still blessed enough to have them on this earth. No matter how old your parents are the reality is that any of us could lose our parents at any time. Let’s all make an effort to make more time for them, express more love for them, and make sure they feel appreciated while we still have them with us.
