What’s inside the Game Of Thrones cookbook?
Game Of Thrones was an HBO original series that ended four years ago and fans are still living attached to the magical world of dragons and powerful royals.
There are several souvenirs made from that hit epic series. Collectibles are scattered all over the world and one of the memorabilia fans could get is a cookbook that features recipes from the Seven Kingdoms and beyond.
Based on the article in Mental Floss, the cookbook, which is from Penguin Random House, features 80 recipes, and the culinary journey is led by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel, the writer behind the Game of Thrones-themed food blog “Inn at the Crossroads.” She is also the co-author of the Game of Thrones companion cookbook A Feast of Ice and Fire.
Monroe-Cassel wrote from the perspective of the Citadel Maester who is dedicated to documenting the food of Westeros and Essos. Among the popular recipes in the cookbook are Dothraki Blood Pie, Dornish Creamcakes, Redwyne Roasted Grapes, and Winter Town Wassail.
The readers have the freedom to choose recipes based on their favorite region. They can also follow the pages of food photography and woodcut illustrations. The cookbook was written from an in-universe perspective but George R.R. Martin wrote a foreword that will surely make fans of the books and television series ecstatic.
The Cookbook is set to be released on May 7, 2024. On YouTube, there are already several food content creators who tried doing the recipes and did reviews of the cookbook years ago
The Game Of Thrones prequel “House of the Dragon” is set to release Season 2, in time for the release of the cookbook. Among the Game Of Thrones cast who got extra popular due to this series were, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Sean Bean, Michelle Fairley, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and many more.
